Background

Dr. Dominic Wemochiga Amonzem has a PhD in Cultural Anthropology (Gender and Religion) from the University of Oslo, Norway. He received both a bachelor's degree in the Study of Religions with Philosophy and an MPhil. African Studies (Gender and Development in African Societies) from the University of Ghana. He further received another MPhil. in Feminist Theology (African Feminist Theology) from the University of Oslo. His scholarly research and teaching interests encompasses gender issues in religions and culture, African indigenous religion and development, religio-cultural identity constructions in cross-cultural marriages, theoretical and methodological issues in African Indigenous Religions; for which he has had adequate preparation in both Ghanaian Universities and at the University of Oslo, Norway. Dr. Dominic Wemochiga Amonzem is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Faculty of Social Science, University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, West Africa.
