UDS Nyankpala Campus SRC Launches Printing Press

The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Nyankpala Campus, University for Development Studies (UDS) has recently launched a new printing press. This initiative aims at enhancing the academic and administrative capabilities of students on campus.

The SRC Printing Press offers a range of services, including photocopying, printing, comb binding, and scanning, thereby supporting the university's academic activities and reducing reliance on external printing services. The establishment of the printing press is part of the SRC's broader efforts to improve campus facilities and provide practical solutions to student needs. It also represents a significant step towards self-sufficiency and improved service delivery within the university community. By having an on-campus printing press, students can now access affordable and timely printing services, which is particularly beneficial during peak periods such as exams and project submissions, especially by final year students.

According to the SRC President, Madam Swaad Abdallah, the printing press will not only serve the academic community but also provide opportunities for practical learning experiences for students interested in printing technology and management. The Printing Press continues this tradition by providing support to students in their educational journey.

At the launch, the Nyankpala Campus Principal, Prof. Muhammed Muniru Iddrisu graced the occasion as a special guest.  He emphasized the importance of efficient utilization of resources by the Student Representative Council (SRC). The Principal commended the current SRC for their proactive steps in alleviating some of the academic challenges faced by students and lauded the bold initiative taken to ensure the optimal use of the SRC resources.

During his address, the Principal further reiterated the significance of maintaining comprehensive records of all activities and safeguarding the technological assets for the benefit of future administrations. Emphasizing the long-term impact of responsible stewardship, he encouraged the SRC to uphold a legacy of prudent management for the benefit of successive generations of students.

The Principal's insightful remarks underscored the pivotal role of the SRC in enhancing the academic experience for students and highlighting the importance of sustainable resource management for the continuity of impactful initiatives.

This commendation from the Campus Principal, according to the SRC leadership serves as a testament to the dedication and forward-thinking approach of the student body and signalling a positive trajectory for the academic environment of the university.
